Launch Beta from Steam

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

What do I put under the launch options in steam to start ARMA 2 Combined Operations through the Beta? If I just double click and start it as normal, my version is always outdated from the servers.

Thanks.

1. Backup your Arma2OA.EXE (you find it in the Arrowhead gamefolder, hurpadurpa)

2.Make sure that you have a backup of your Arma2OA.exe (DO IT!)

3.Navigate to your "Expansions" dir in the Arrowhead gamefolder

4.Go to the BETA folder and copy the EXE located there to your Arrowhead gamefolder

5.add this extension to your game via steam:

-beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash

6.start the game

7.do not die!

You can enable/disable the Mod via the Expansions section of the main menue,if you play other Mods besides DAYZ adding it to startup is contra-productive.

tomo got a valid point there, tho. If you're only playing DayZ,add the -mod=@dayz line too

edit:i hope OP remembers this topic and doesn't go "lalalalalalalalala" trough the forum
