Best route to take after spawning?

in your opinion what is the best route (loot, safety, etc) to take to try to find weapons after spawning? i don't feel like going straight to cherno/electro without anything

put your back to the ocean and "run to the hills."

I prefer just running in to the woods and then when you are safe, think where you want to lead. But don't forget to check map, so you don't lose your placement! :)

Go north and look for barns. There's almost always at least one weapon in them.

Call me crazy but I never go to barns first. They always have zeds inside/outside. I try to find a deer stand as they hold better weapons and zeds tend to wander away from them. I found an mp5/mp5sd today looking in just 3. I took the sd to a barn and cleared it to fill up the trusty canteen and look for a axe.

I always look at the barns on the outskirts of the cities. Try Prigorodki if you are east of Cherno, or the southern part of Elektro is usually a good place. Also I never find anything useful in any dock
