I don't know if this is just people ALT+F4'ing or it's a bug, but sometimes me and my buddies will bandit like bandits we are, and after they're dead sometimes, or sometimes not bodies will disapear and we can't loot them.

That can happen random.

OR if the player is logging out after his death. 

If he's logging out and don't press respawn, his corpse disappears and he won't lose the gear. This can be bugabusing or it was just an accident. The latest patch fixed this bug as far as I know.
