smthistle 57 Posted December 20, 2013 just happened to me, 5 hours of gameplay down the drain. don't get attatched to your gear, but how can we not? its not being attatched its called playing for NO reason after u realize u are reset back to square one. pointless playing, not going to play until this is fixed, had a couple fun days but this is getting annoying and not worth playin imo. first time this has happened to me after the patch wipe which didn't bother me, until I just randomly got wiped. this is unacceptable and I know its alpha, that's why im not going to play until that gets fixed at least. If you really do get frustrated a lot because of losing your gear, maybe you should wait yes. But be aware that it could be a long time untill beta. Like, a year and probably longer.Gear is not everything in this game though, i personally find more enjoyment starting fresh but to each his own. Of course you can and should have fun, but I repeat: you're playing the PRE ALPHA and it CAN happen, that you loose all your gear, it CAN happen, that Rocket has to wipe alle the Characters from the DB and it CAN happen, that your Char is falling through the ground and got raped bei Cthullhu himselft after invisible Zombienazis engaged him. thelonewarrior 886 Posted December 20, 2013 It's already been discussed, the reasons why you get wiped are the following:The server your playing on hasn't been white listed so you will lose your gear if you play on that server and log out or try to join another serverI've found one server where my gear isn't reset and it's probably because of the aboveSo I'm staying there and only playing on that server which had worked fine so faSadly there isn't any way to determine what servers do this so just try playing on the same server and see what happens and hopefully you won't get a gear wipe Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
