Treating sickness and use of rope

Is there any way to treat sickness from rotten food and unpure water other than antibiotics? Also what are the uses of rope?

No you can't bind people with rope. Me and buddy found some and tried it. Needless to say it didn't work. However suicide is in the game. So . . . one dark way of doing it but hey suicide is suicide. Or maybe one day when base making is in you can hang bodies around your base. Who knows . . .
