You should make it to where you have the option to launch through steam like dayz commander if possible cause I don't know if this is only me but my game stops responding cause it is really hard on my computer.

 

If you can't do this it's fine, and thank you for looking over this if you did.

I....... I..... I.... WHAT? Seriously I have no clue what you are talking about. You should.. rephrase your question maybe? What do you want to do? You can start through steam, you can join friends through steam, you can set launch options through steam. What's your question?

It's not really that confusing during the the time when the mod was out they mad ethis thing called DayZ Commander which if you went to settings you had the option of launching through steam or not to. If you didn't know steam for some people make their computer lag while playing certain or all games. The problem for me is getting better but I still think that it is a good idea.
