Plan on buying SA Tomorrow(How does your character save)

Hiya guys

 

I plan on buying Dayz Standalone tomorrow once i get paid from work but now i am wondering as i am going away to my mothers on sunday taking my dads gaming laptop with me to my mothers. Now i was wondering how the character saving works if i started playing on my own pc untill sunday then Started playng it on the laptop once i get to my mothers on sunday would i still have my character to play or would i have to create a new one?

He saves to the public hive.  Unless you are playing on a private hive.  So if you use the same steam account, you will still keep your character.

Budget time to download it.  Took about 4 hours when no one else was using the ADSL

For now its all about character wipes, trigger happy folks and two-three hour full set-up, i wouldn't worry much about either.
