Basic building a base?

So until they introduce crafting and base building, is it possible to leave a backpack full of your gear, on the ground that will be still be there after a server restarts.

I know people are finding it hard to get gear or loot, but I always manage to gear up pretty well. To the point where I find extra backpacks and other items, so I want to store them in an area that I can come back to if I need them, but I don't want to in case a server reset, reads it as random loot and wipes it.

So does anyone know if they will survive a server reset.

Nope! There is nothing permanent from server restarts yet. Implementation is... when it happens.

I've seen them around balota, but you can't interact with them or pick 'em up.
