I have a few suggestions which may or may not already be planned for the final release but I think they will serve to be nice suggestions. I haven't played Dayz for long since I wasn't a fan of the mod...But the standalone really has left me wanting more. So some of my ideas. [i will add more I guess if I can think of anything nice] Bodies returning: Right now there seem to be a low amount of zombies but this was mentioned to be a glitch in the known issues. Although atm I don't find this a bad thing since the amount of zombies I've encountered [around 5 per village] have been a nice challenge. But to help the zombies have more reson to spawn I have thought of a couple of ideas which shouldn't be too hard to make nor create to much lag on servers. So the first one is...If an infected player dies due to injuries from a player or a zombie, and x_ amount of zombies within x_ amount of radius are not present, then after x_ amount of time that body will disappear and instead a zombie will spawn and take it's place.If an uninfected player dies due to a zombie then the same applies. Nothing happens if a player kills him. Unless the player was infected himself and used hand weapons. To stop the spawn you can either: Bury the body [hide body] or add an action to the menu if you have a sharp tool to chop of the head. This will generate a message and the spawn is stopped. [you could also create an item _ body and item _ head to appear. Boarding up doors So right now there seem to be zombies running through walls...This was also present during the alpha mod and I hope this issue is quickly fixed and addressed. But there is also something else I hope for...I hope that once it is fixed...Zombies will not be able to unlock/open doors. And I have an idea to make this quite awesome. So if a zombie is outside a building you are in and the door is open, the zombie can walk through.If the house you're in has a wooden door then the zombie can bash against the door and after x_amount of hits the door will open...If you're in a house which has a wooden door you can board up the door [create a plank from x_amount of wood or find them around floors]This will lock both players AND zombies outside the house for X amount of damage. Planks can be reapplied.Guns will do more damage but AXES will also do a lot of damage...Any other weapons will do small damage.Until the boards are destroyed no player can enter through that door for x_amount of time/damage if the house is empty.Once you've put a board up..only players inside the house can remove them. [ideally with a crowbar] This will allow players to safely create small temporary hideouts or get the chance to set down with zombies outside unable to get in. You can maintain the planks and keep refreshing them. Hopefully you guys like this idea and we can push it forward. I would also like to hear feedback. Thanks for reading! This apocalypse is not caused by a Walking Dead style infection. There are people who are infected, the zeds, and there are us, who don't have the infection. The infection we get is not the zombie one. We will never be zombies if we die. It has also been suggested a lot of times before.
