New to the game and forum (hello)

Didn't see an "introduce yourself thread"

I'm an online racer using F1 and GT cars, don't normally bother with FPS and online gaming as it's normaly a waste of my time, too many idiots and cheats/hackers spoiling it for others. Anything you do in a game wont benefit your real life in any way yet people still feel immense pride by being a comlete ****** in a computer game and let's not forget that fact, it's a game.

Today I sumbled upon the dayz mod on youtube. Some American guy posting day 3/7/10 gameplay videos, really entertaining actually so I thought I would look into the game a bit more.

I've spent £25 via steam today as a result of this mod on a game I would not have touched with a barge pole before. I love the zombie stuff, Walking dead etc

What a brilliant story though. The fella that modded this game has been approached by the game devs? that's just fantastic!

I realise I am very late to this discussion but wanted to pass on my congratulations to the mod creator and his team, if he has one, had one ;)
