Low fps near towns and buildings

I have a AMD 7970, Intel i5 and 12 gigs ram and have troubles when I am in towns. For example zelen and cherno I drop down to 25-30 but when I am out of towns I am well above 60. Is this just a game thing? I had similar issues in the dayzmod and this has transfered over to alpha. Is this just on the game side of things our is there something wrong with my side?. I have turned down the gpu frames ahead etc and the post processing as well. Any ideas would be great

Mine does too, but not consistently. That's Alpha build for you.

The engine hates the AMD FX bulldozer series which I happen to own...

 

Just be grateful you aren't at a constant sub-20 fps near any towns.

I get absolutely terrible frames... never been above 30.  Looking to pick up a new 4300 piledriver series which I've heard are far and away better and should get me back up to acceptable frames.
