New computer spec?

Recommended Posts

Looking to buy a new desktop in the new year so that I can play this, don't think my laptop would support it at all.

What's a decent spec I should look for so I can play Day z reasonably well? Don't really fancy spending over 300 quid if it can be helped.

"reasonable well".. oh dear... DayZ SA at the moment runs "reasonably well" for good specs. For all others you need to massively tweak the settings to get a playable framerate.

It depends on what you consider "resonably well", but in my understanding of the term you won't find any rig <300 bucks to run it at the moment "reasonably well". Later if it's optimized it might be possible

For only 300quid you can get something like this:

CPU:  AMD Athlon II X4 740 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor  (£54.68 @ CCL Computers)
Motherboard:  ASRock FM2A55M-DGS Micro ATX FM2 Motherboard  (£36.66 @ Scan.co.uk)
Memory:  Corsair Vengeance 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  (£34.08 @ Scan.co.uk)
Video Card:  Gigabyte Radeon HD 7790 1GB Video Card  (£106.42 @ CCL Computers)
Total: £313.93
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

But i suggest investing little more and get fx6300 + r9 270 + 8gb ram. You will be happier in the long run
