Night time even in servers marked 24/7 day?

Anyone else having this issue? I see the other pinned thread but it doesnt mention anything (i read the first 7 pages) about people joining 24.7 day servers and it being night. I have tried two servers and they are night but they are tagged as 24/7Daylight in the name.

 

So my question is, Why?

Bug? Intended?

 

Also IMO its wayt to dark at night. I myself in real life if I sit outside at night, after about 10minuets or so, I can see without running into trees and able to find my light or cig if I happen to drop them. Just sayin.

That's because those 24/7 daylight servers are not really that. They are daylight at a time that the server owner set. Try to find a server that is day time at the time you normally play. True 24/7 daylight servers should not be allowed ever in the standalone vanilla, there should always be night, though the server owner chooses when that is.

hmmm I am going to disagree with on the no server  should be allowed to be 24/7 day, If  I am shelling out 70-90$ a month for a server it should be my way. Also I can only play nights and have yet to experience the game at day time :(
