ShackTac Movement ?

Razor added the shacktac movement addon to the mod and was just wondering if anyone knows if the SA has something like this already integrated or if something like this will be added to the SA in future ?

Run at a low obstacle and press V.

 

Its already in there, and to be honest its far better animated than the st_bunnyhop...but that may be due to the SA models using the A3 standard and having more bones than the A2 skeleton did....the st_bunnyhop wasn't bad but the A2 skeleton really didn't have the bones for it to be anything but cosmetic.

 

The jump in the SA feels a lot more natural...and definitely looks a lot more natural. No offense to Razor.

I know that the jump has something like this already integrated but i still feel as tho my character gets stuck in doorways and between objects unlike the mod (with shacktac movement addon) and would love to be able to move freely in the SA like i can in the mod.

Getting stuck in doors is an hold Bohemia tradition. Somewhere out there in Bohemia land, theres a modeler that made some really badly scaled architectural models that have incredibly tight collision meshes and...nobody thought that was much of a problem. And here we are...years down the line and those very same meshes have the very same problems.

 

The thing about st movement was that it ignored collisions. I tested it rather extensively and you were never so much moving over or past something as you were temporarily moving through it.

Yes i suppose :P well the SA is actually quite good in regards to collisions and getting stuck so i suppose the occasional getting stuck in doorways and shit is fine :) Was just wondering if they had any plans to add to this in future which i think they probably will when they done with all the bugs and glitches etc.
