Are you always getting hungry / thirsty too fast again? Here is why and how to solve this

After all the complains about hunger/thirst warnings, i have been testing it and came to interesting results.

  1.
    • Players spawn relatively hungry and thirsty. For example, lets say players start at 30% food/drink.
    • First warning message pops when your food or drink level drops to ~20%.
    • Most important one! That green message saying "your thirst/hunger is quenched", shows when players food/drink level gets just above critical value. So when you get this message, in reality, you are only on ~25% of your total "stomach capacity".
    • If you keep drinking and eating after you get the "your thirst/hunger is quenched" message, you can still consume a lot, until you get another green message "Your stomach is full", "You feel well-fed" or similiar.
    • That means you are at 100% of food capacity and you start to regenerate blood/heal.Once you reach this, you also have a LOT of time when you dont have to deal with food/drink and no messages pop up for at least 1,5 hours.

So, what conclusion this leads to?

Players that experience constant message spam never really eat or drink to full. They just hover between 20-30%, never actually begin regenerating and end up falling unconscious for no apparent reason.

I figured it was something like this... And to me, it means they should seriously consider revamping the system. If a person can potentially survive days without water and weeks without food, I can really only come to the conclusion that my character is a fatty and is drinking salt water whilst I'm logged off.

I ate 4-5 beans and tuna with 4-5 soda and didnt even got the '' your thirst/hunger is quenched'' message. What the hell do i need to do to reach 100% and recover blood!

Aaaaand after the latest Steam update I'm having a harder time than ever... Seems like loot and hunger meter is broken. Hope they're working on it xD

First of all, I think we should spawn with at least 75 % fullness in both, considering you have to run quite a bit to get away from the spawning location and to loot sites that hasn't been raided already, sometimes quite damned far. Second, I drank until I got frustrated, and was still thirsty! So, not sure it fixes things. At one point I drank 10 times, and still was thirsty a minute after. My woman is a whiny c***, that't the conclusion I eventually came up with, so at this point whenever she starts complaining, I go "Deal with it, woman!". Or, "Shut up!". Lol, we're not on friendly terms at this point :P

You have to make sure that the cans you are eating are not heavily damaged. Example: A prestine Can of baked beans gives way more "satisfaction" than a damaged one.

OP is right, I collected so much food for my trip to nwaf but instead of gradually eating it, I just ate/drank until I no longer had the indicators in my inventory. Sure enough, the only indication came from thirst every maybe 15 minutes or so of real time. Whenever I started to get thirsty, I would wait until the light green "hungry" icon would appear next to it, pop open a can of soda and drink, and both icons would disappear.

Been doing this the past few hours with no issues, and my blood is coming back gradually finally.
