DayZ standalone and Windows 8 compatibility

I would like to purchase the Alpha, but I had one simple question. Will it run well on a windows 8 pc.

Standalone will run perfectly on windows 8, my IRL friend has it, as for the game file atm it is 5.5gb.

Was watching a few livestreams of people running the game on Windows 8 just fine. FPS seemed kinda low but that may be due to optimization.

And there has been a 133.7 MB update.

Yeah. I tried it on my Windows 8 laptop (GT 650m) and it was running surprisingly well.
