Can i play 2 different characters on 2 different servers in SA?

So i bought the SA as soon as it came out and played it for a while...I like it very much :)

My question is can i play 2 different characters on different servers, like in mod I had different character on every server. I have a feeling i cant and that would be really sad beacuse I would really like to play more characters than just one.

Yeah but they have to be on different hives.

No great thing is you keep your char on every server, or buy 2nd dayz on second account

All servers are public hives so there is no way to do that.

I have been trying to do the same, with 2 seperate steam accounts but the characters keep getting mixed up. On the mod I had 2 files for the registry I used to switch between characters but I have not been able to locate this value for my DayZ SA characters.

i got 2 steam account, just start the game and it will switch.

i got 1 account to play with my friend and 1 i can play when im alone works perfectly

one of the greatest features indeed. it enables cheaters to permanently server-hop.
