DayZ Not Responding Every Time I Search For A Server

Every time I go to search for a server my DayZ doesn't respond. This affects my whole computer. I can't task manager, end task, I have to either sign out of Windows or restart. I have tried searching on here but couldn't find anything. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Same problem here i actually thought it was my new pc since i started playing dayz on that one. I still do think it has something to do with Windows 8 though, never had it already hate it  :).

I got that problem aswell. I had NOD32 antivirus installed and theres something called HIPS thats enabled by default that made the game hang everytime. Try disabling if you have it.

 

Ps it adds some frames to your game if you disable it. Ds
