Night Vision (not the military one)

Hello everyone,

 

(first of all, sorry for any kind of mistake or akward turn of phrase, english is not my first language.)

 

As the title say, I have a suggestion to give a bit more realism to this game. I've read alot of comments about the night bein too dark and I've come with an idea that can help this. What if, the longer your in the dark, the better you see in the night? After all, everybody can see better in the dark after a while. Have you never went to the bathroom at night without any kind of light?

 

I wouldn't make everything clear like daylight, but just enough to see different tones to help you find out objects, doors, ect...

 

This feature could be turned into a weapons/strategy. People are shooting at you in the forest, ruin there night vision with your flashlight or a flare! Because I think you should be blinded for a brief moment if you vision is adapted to the night when you encounter any kind of bright light.

 

So again, first post, first idea thrown out, let me know if you agree/disagree.

I think that would be a great way to actually avoid redoing the whole night time like alot of people are asking. Maybe just raise the luminosity gradually.

I think that'd be good, of course lights should be brighter and using your torch should pretty much ruin your night vision.

I wouldn't mind it if I could wrap something around my torch for seeing itms inside.

In Dayz mod you already get blinded by flares and other light if you are wearing NVG. I don't see why this couldn't be implemented?

Keep in mind as humans we naturally have some of the worst night sight among the animal kingdom especially for the detail our eyes can see.

Of course, we cannot see all the details, but still, we can walk around not in complete blindness. I can see a chair or table in a dark room no problem. I can maybe figure out that there is a paper on it. I wouldn't notice the small pen on the side of the paper even if my life was on the line.

 

As thing are now, we are totally blind in darkness.
