Switching characters

Hi! i'm having some troubles with random characters switch when i leave a server and i get in again, some times i find myself with an old charater, i dont know why, if someone can give me a reason it would be great, but im afraid that it's just an alpha-bug..

 

Another thing btw, i died a couple of times by unconciousness having no thirsty nor starving but black and white screen because i lost some blood, but even aplying a bandage i die taking a walk, is that normal?

My character changed to the default one when I got on a server that used an old DayZ version. I think I know it's the reason because I couldn't open doors, etc. and Rocket said that's caused by a different DayZ version than the server.

When I changed to a server with a matching version, I started as the guy I made.

you mean that the host can change the character? because im playing dayz standalone only in public/veteran servers

Nah, the server might have been outdated and not running on the same version as you. All the servers probably aren't updated to the recent patch yet. You just need to change the server.
