Ammo Boxes

I've stored a bunch of ammo into my Ammo box, and I carry two x 60round clips for my M4 with me so that I can reload once without needing to go into my inventory, take the clip of thee M4 and load it with ammo. But is there a way to open the ammo box without droping it to the ground? I can store ammo to it just by draging the ammo to the box, but not get it out, unless I actually drop the box to the ground,

Nope, you need to set it down and open it up, can't do it from within your pack or jean's pocket.

as far as i know you can just put the box in your hands in the inventory and then directly access its contents
