Dayz standalone startup error

hello every time i start up the game i get "error creating direct3d 9 graphical engine" And it closes out of the black screened client.

Just reinstall directx should fix http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

Same problem. I re installed game after running steam as administrator, re downloaded direct x 9 and still no luck

Everytime I try to re-install Directx it says "DirectX setup has determined that a newer or equivalent version of DirectX has been installed already. No installation is necessary" But when I try to start DayZ it still shows the error...
