Is this supposed to be this way?

I logged out last night after like 8 hours of night time, woke up this morning like "yeah, gonna play dayz during the daytime now..." Logged on, had 20 minutes of day light.... 8 hours later... STILL night.... so, the best guess I can make it about 6 hours of daytime in-game per 24 hour IRL period... because I slept for 7 hours and logged on immediately after waking up.

Its most likely you logging between different servers try to stick with one to track its timing unless you want to hop around just to find a daylight server.

Yeah, I tried that all last night... like 60 servers, not one was daytime so I got tired of wasting my time. Like, I don't mind night time, I think it enhances the gameplay, but i'd like to play during the day since i'm learning the game and for more than 20 minutes within a 24 hour period...
