The problem with muting and VOIP

So VOIP is supposed to be a way to communicate between players when they are close. But people like to mute players so they aren't distracted on their PvP fun time. This can really hurt gameplay interactions.

What could be done about this?

1. Servers with that do not allow muting.

No. No. No.

 

People mute for the own reasons, and disabling the mute button will become the biggest pain in the ass.

 

I've had VOIP down because I was having problems with someone having an open mic to the entire server, plus disabling the mute option will just feed trolls.
