BaitedHook 24 Posted June 21, 2012 so if you throw sd rounds inside a gun they become silenced even without a silencer????is SD round overall better than normal rounds?
Jai (DayZ) 11 Posted June 21, 2012 They become quieter than normal rounds but not silent, they also have a great bullet drop than normal rounds
BaitedHook 24 Posted June 21, 2012 i mean if i shoot zombies with it they dont aggro? im asking instead of testing because now the ammo reload bug is fixed and i lose precious sd ammos and id like to keep mag at 30 lol... 29 doesnt feel right hahai use to have a m4 cco sd and the ammo was fucking rare so i ditched it for a m16 but i still kept the rounds because for some reason m16 can use it. jaredddbrown@gmail.com 9 Posted June 21, 2012 so if you throw sd rounds inside a gun they become silenced even without a silencer????is SD round overall better than normal rounds?Yes.I'm sure that it's a bug that will be patched out laterBut any gun, even if it isn't silenced, if you load silenced rounds into it will become silenced.Silenced M9 rounds can be loaded into the PDW/G17/M9, silenced MP5 mags can be loaded into the MP5 and PDW (lol), and of course, the silenced STANAG rounds into the M4/M16Honestly, I love how the PDW can take MP5 mags
Kain Phalanx 9 Posted June 21, 2012 I imagine SD ammo is supposed to be subsonic ammo. Assuming ArmA 2 coincides with real life, using SD ammo should make report quieter but still loud. You should need both a silencer and SD ammo to get the full effect.
BaitedHook 24 Posted June 21, 2012 isnt pdw's ammo capacity 30? if you load m9sd into it it only gives 15 rounds right?
jaredddbrown@gmail.com 9 Posted June 21, 2012 isnt pdw's ammo capacity 30? if you load m9sd into it it only gives 15 rounds right?CorrectUsing the PDW as an example:Loading G17 ammo would make 17 bullets in the magLoading M9 ammo would make 15 bullets in the magLoading MP5 ammo would make the full 30 bullets in the magAnd of course, loading actual PDW ammo will yield 30 rounds.Ammo is interchangeable as long as it's the same type. The PDW and MP5 both use 9x19 ammo, so you can use any type in it.However, for example, even though the M9 uses 9x19, the M9 cannot use any other type of ammo that exceeds it's max magazine capacity. So was that last restriction added to the game by DayZ?
