When does loot respawn?

Hey so uh... I'm reading around the forums and internets and I keep seeing that server resets are the only way to get loot to respawn. however, while playing I have seen things in buildings (like after I die or something) that I did not see before. Either I have a bad memory or it respawned. 

 

My friends and I are just looking for a real answer. Thanks.

They are just hidden. Thoroughly search and you will see a lot of hidden loot that you may not have seen before.

It only spawns on reset.

 

If it's there when you revisit one of 4 things has happened:

 

1. You didn't remember

2. Someone put it there.

3. You overlooked it last time you were there.

4. You're not in the same place.

ProGamerGov, where are you looking? We are diving under beds and stuff and we never see anything.
