Getting horrible FPS

Recommended Posts

Recently, I've purchased the ARMA II CO bundle from Steam, which I use to play DayZ...prior to that, I played the free/demo version of ARMA II (which is uninstalled now).

One major thing I noticed was that I get horrible FPS while playing DayZ (about 15-20 FPS). Compared to the time when I played the demo of ARMA II, I got 30-60 FPS (even if I had worse graphics). I'll admit that my computer isn't that good, but it's decent enough to run most modern games at least 30 frames per second.

I've tried almost everything to lowering my quality of graphics and view distance, increasing the shadows to "high", changing the NVIDIA 3d settings, turning vsync off, turning off mouse smoothing, and etc. I just can't increase the FPS when I play DayZ.

Any help?

Wait. Rocket releases patches that improve performance. On 1.7.1.4 i was at 10-15 in the open, then 1.7.1.5 came out and i had around 30.. Still low FPS in towns/cities though....
