weapon switching with backpacks

hi guys N gals

ive seen a video ->

this guys has 2 main weapons one in main weapon slot, and the other stored in his pack,

is this still do-able? do i need 10 free slots to move the main into the backpack? or does it simply switch them? as trying to stick somthing in pack without enough room deletes it. do i switch the backpack weapon forward? or the main weapon back into my pack?

and how do i stop my ammo moving with it? ive had the situation where ive moved main weapon into backpack (clearing towers for respawn) had 11 free slots my main weapon went, 1 mag went the other 2 mags vanished

Open Gear using G, Go to BackPack click Open BackPack and Transfer Items Via there.

Wut Wut? I had no idea I could move stuff to my bag! How do you transfer stuff once you have the bag open?

Double click or press the left arrow as if you were dropping the item. Note you cannot drop items normally when the bag is open because of this.

im not looking for how to put stuff in my bag in general,

when i have a main weapon, say a DMR in main weapon slot, and an m4a1 in my backpack. how do i switch the M4a1 to main, the DMR to backpack and not drop/delete either of the weapons or the ammo for them?

ALWAYS switch the item IN THE BAG to the main inventory. Not the other way around. Unless, of course, you like your pixels getting deleted ;)

P.S. Ammo always swaps so no worries there

Open bag, then click left arrow weapon in backpack will change with your main weapon slot and all ammo will automatically change with its weapon.. The other posts are spot on........
