HARD CORPS 2.0 | SurvivalOperations | Revived and Improved - Bringing back the hard to DayZ

Recommended Posts

Hey all, Developer here for HardCorps 2.0.

The team at Survival Operations would like to extend the warm welcome of all types of players to our new and improved mod DayZ HardCorps. Most of you know this mod from back in the day and some of you might not. We have revived the mod and for the past 3 months worked on it extensively to bring a smoother and more immersive experience to DayZ.

For more information and to try out the mod check out. http://www.survivaloperations.net/topic/5143-hardcorps-20-is-now-beta-and-open-to-the-public/

We are in open beta right now as we continue to add new features/addons and further enhance the DayZ experience for all players.

What is HardCorps?
HardCorps brings back the hard to DayZ and quite literally. First person only and fully integrated with ACE, HardCorps brings a new experience with more advanced weapon ballistics and wind deflection as well as improved sounds from JSRS and all the great extras that comes with ACE. I challenge all players to give it a go, love it, hate it...its your call.

WELCOME EVERYONE TO
HARDCORPS 2.0

NEW INTRODUCTIONS TO DAYZ | HARDCORPS

FMFwNVO.jpg

Bunkers are new to DayZ HardCorps. With the introduction of Bunkers the DayZ style of gameplay has changed substantially. Bunkers are only accessible via a code that you input into the main entrance  from the 'Security Keypad'. Without this code you are unable to access the high grade loot that is not available outside of these areas. Bunkers can also serve as a temporary base to clans or groups. If you manage to find the codes to these bunkers it is best to keep that code between close friends otherwise others can siege your Bunker. Do your rivals have the codes...then set up an ambush as they unlock the doors.

Keypads are inside each large bunker. You are able to lock the Bunker from inside thus disabling the chances of random players or even your rivals from entering your precious high grade bunker. (Special thanks to Arjay (ALIVE dev) for assisting me in getting these to work).

But how do you find these codes? Well, not by loot cycling. These codes will be placed strategically around the map. It's a matter of exploring. You will find two types of signs, one will hint to the locations of these 'codes' while the other actually displays the codes when you interact with them. Life is difficult so start searching if you want that AA-12 with High Explosive rounds.

HIDEOUTS - Your own personal space

Situated around the map are several hideouts. What are they exactly? Well they are inconspicuous looking objects that you can interact with and once you enter the secret hideouts you'll find bounty in them that'll make any bandit thirst for more. Smaller than bunkers, Hideouts serve as a temporary base for smaller groups and even lone wolfs. If you find one, make sure that no other player sees you enter as these hideouts do not have codes and anyone can enter them.

THE INFAMOUS FOBS

WEvO2RD.jpg

In previous versions of HardCorps we saw the introduction of FOBs or otherwise known as Forward Operating Bases. These FOBS serve a larger purpose and make a return in HardCorps 2.0. A newly introduced system is the Random FOB spawner (thanks to Neon). Situated around the map are small, medium and large FOBS with the larger ones spawning barracks and thus higher tier items. Upon every restart FOBs will randomly spawn at a desired location, the three larger FOBs are FOB ZULU, FOB VICTORIA and FOB HOBART. FOBs are the main source of combat and loot and we focus on bringing more combat to the North and Center regions of Chernarus. There are also static placed FOBs but they hold less barracks and thus less items to spawn in. Looting a FOB is dangerous, so be wary of your surroundings and potential snipers willing to take easy pickings of loot cyclers.
