Xianyu 820 Posted June 21, 2012 I tried one of these previously. I wasn't sure how they worked. I might have fired it too low. It didn't glow.but just now, on a night server, I have a flare to my buddy who has an M16 M203, and he fired the flare up into the night sky.I watched the flare. It did NOT ignite, it merely whizzed off in an arc and did nothing. No light.Is this a bug? Is it just me? or are M203 flares just there to tease us? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Also in Arma, they work properly.You just have to throw it right in the sky, so It takes more time until it touches ground level.If that doesn't work... Probably a bug of DayZ[/quote']I made sure my friend fired it at about 45 degrees. It had a hang time of a good 3-5 seconds.I've used the flares in a custom game no problem.
