Bad Graphics

Recommended Posts

Hey

Sometimes if i'm playing Arma 2 Dayz I get some issues with my graphics like you can see in the picture I post here:

Grafischerror.jpg

(the stripes that you see in the pictures are moving and changing if a move ingame)

When i get this it stays like that for a while or i need to change some of my graphics options so that the screen needs to relead. But after a while or sometims a couple off minutes i get this again.

I already deleted my video drivers and reinstalled it but I still get it.

Does someone know how to fix this ?

Thanks

-82ndAB-Kris

Those kind of artifacts and glitches can appear when your video card is overheated, try to check it

1) Make sure you are on the latest Day Z patch and playing on a compatible server.

2) Make sure you graphics card is able to handle your game performance settings. Change the 3D and Interface resolutions down and see it that fixes it.

3) As EpeeNoire said, your graphics card may be overheating. Try using a Gpu overclock program to change your fan speed. I personally use GPU Tweak. You can use Catalyst Control Centre if you are using a compatible GPU.

I checked the temputere and it was 85°C while playing the game.

I have a Radeon HD 4870 X2.

So is this the warm or not ?

85C might be pushing it a little. You can try dialling back your GPU speeds a little, or get a little more airflow through your case.

Thanks for the info guys. I bought today a new one because the one i had is probably broken. I have cleaned it and lowered the speeds but nothing.
