Were vehicles patched out of Dayz?

Seriously I haven't seen any since like 2012, there used to be loads around but now there isn't a single one.

 

(I'm only talking about official, I hate the stupid custom servers as they always just become a DM with military gear)

I thought there was only like 10 on a map before all these custom servers. I only found one car on a legit DayZ server, when it just started.

All somewhere super secret and hidden. When I see a vehicle on a official Vanilla DayZ server it is usually from beneath a tree/bush as it blows by me. Occasionally I'll go hunting for them but I just don't have the energy lately and what would I do with the stupid thing when I find it? Hide it so someone else comes along and takes it from me?

I can be a death sentence. I don't shoot that them because I am trying for a Hero Skin. Other people will happily shoot the crap out of the vehicle to kill the player and worry about repairing it if it survives the exchange.

Blow the wheels off it and use it as an extra Tent? The urals store a lot. ;)

I like taking helis around the corner of the maps, especially the Northern areas. I tend to find many tents/cars/urals up in that area. Not to mention the rare chance of a heli crash!  :thumbsup:

You shouldn't be able to save them, if you haven't used one in a certain amount of time they should despawn and respawn at some random road side location.
