Why are there so many military vehicles on that server? It seems like you are playing Arma instead of DayZ....

These aren high end vehicles that a clan has to put the money towards to buy. The average joe cant afford them. Its not everyone's cup of tea but i enjoy the higher cap on the level of vehicles and the active clan systems on the server. If you have seen any of DevilDogGamer's videos it is the same server that he plays on and he can show you more about the server than i can.

EDIT: For example a t-34 is the most expensive vehicle at 12 breifcases, it takes my clan about a week or so to earn that.

I play DayZ Epoch myself but its on a server with no vehicles lying around, no towing, no armor, no overpowered gear or any of that stuff. Its basically vanilla DayZ except if you get lucky a trader might have a Lee Enfield for sale. This just seems over the top also it took your clan a week to buy one of them but it seems as though everyone has one.

Hey if you don't like it you don't have to play it, its not big deal. There are plenty of people who do want to play it though becuase its something a bit different til standalone comes out. Also briefcases are in vanilla epoch as well.

 Hey no problem, I'm aware that this isn't everyone cup of tea, If you dont like Epoch then i siggest you dont watch videos clearly labeled DayZ Epoch.

To a point yes, but these vehicles are incredibly expensive (like a weeks worth of farming), armour is not rolled out constantly and if it is its a smaller vehicle like a M2 Hummvee, we usually travel in a little bird or a suv/ural. That was cool....ok so its not dayz :P, but was still cool.

 

You would really love normal arma2 for stuff like this, CTI is good for clan vs clan stuff if you can find a group to play against. And ofc the editor you can knock up great pvp situations in a couple of hours.

 

Also how the hell did those guys survive the rocket hits.....they were right in the blast radius....carnt believe they lived (the 2 running round the house I mean). Im used to ace...where ya get screwed over if ya even stand in front of a firing tank lol

A FUCKING TANK! a tank in dayz I was reading a post about how stupid people wanted tanks in dayz then There is some in epoch.

I know it takes alot of time to get but so does a nuke in call of duty that does not make it any less stupid.

 

i am not calling the op stupid just saying how tanks are stupid in dayz because it has nothing to do with survival.

There is a reason why a lot of people are not liking this. Its meant to be an apocalypse. I wouldn't expect to be able to "buy" a tank, or much else for that matter. The closest thing should be a Mad Max/A-Team style home made armoured car. That at least would be plausible. If they implement a welder perhaps you could strip parts from old cars and stick them the outside of another one.

 

This may be fun in its own right, which is fine, but people don't like the connection with Dayz because its so far removed from the original mod.

 Lol thanks, I do enjoy regular arma 2 and frequent things like insurgency and domination. This is where i go with other like minded people to blow each other up in a less serious manner.

 

EDIT: Also just buggy rockets that don't work with epoch well unfortunartly
