Little confused about controls

Recommended Posts

Hey,

Just got the game and Im a little confused with some controls.

How do I close the doors?

How do I use weapons? (Found a hatchet and got killed cause I wasn't able to use it)

How do I use the bandages or painkillers?

Thanks

I found how to use doors and loot stuff but still wondering how to use guns :D

Best thing is go into the Arma editor or shooting-range and have some fun with the guns there.

Bandages/Painkillers/Waterbottle ect: "G" opens up gear, right click on the item then left click to use.

The mouse-wheel plays a big part with controls: from fixing Vehicles, opening doors, climbing ladders and changing weapons..

Look up "DayZ wiki loads of great guides & tutorials..

Best of luck

ok thanks

Hatchet and Hunting knifes can be used as weapons or only tools?

Might be why I had troubles, maybe they aren't weapons

I don't know about the knife but the hatchet is a weapon and a tool. Right click it and select "Equip Item" (or something like that) if it is in your tool-belt. You must have a free primary weapon slot. Likewise to move it back to your belt, right click and select "move to tool-belt"
