Is there a difference between Arma 2 Free and Arma 2 paid when it comes to framerate in Dayz?

Recommended Posts

I need help,(duh),anyways I have Arma 2 free and Arma 2 OA and only Operation Arrowhead runs well, all settings are set to low quality. When I play OA the framerate is good enough for me but when I launch Dayz it drops to 4-9 frames per second. If I bought Arma 2 full version would this alleviate my problems?

Framerate? Not really. Visual fidelity/quality? Yes.

if visuals are improved, one would expect that fps should go down...

just thinking logically, but dunno how it is in practice

The difference:

Arma 2 free is cheap.

Idk if there's an official free version, of if you're pirating harder than Edward Kenway (teehee).

One would expect, yes. I largely found better FPS in full than otherwise.
