major j. 7 Posted December 3, 2013 (edited) We at our clan understand that their are many of you out there that have been deceived by clans claiming to be professional special forces mil sim clans, from understanding this we have decided to open up our team speak to the public to allow a direct approach to answer questions about special forces and what we are about by its members. I encourage the wider community to visit our team speak and have your questions answered, furthermore we have decided that a direct entry course is not the best course for future members and have decided to allow on job training, members seeking to be operators will be trained so by our instructors on a basis that suits the needs of all future candidates. I look forward to seeing you in team speak 216.127.64.128: 9226 (armycompartmentedelements.teamspeak3.com) Edited December 4, 2013 by Cos239
major j. 7 Posted December 5, 2013 special forces are now conducting operations on unknown servers, the objective to cause as much havoc as possible. This operation will run for 3 weeks during that time we will run close target reconnaissance, snap ambushing and base attacks. we are still taking members and running through training where possible to accommodate future operators. major j. 7 Posted December 19, 2013 Situation update Our target operations have started on epoch we will be commencing with base clearance operations and player engagement. Our training server is almost ready to be completed features include an urban assault range with breaching capability, a 360 degree firing range and upgrades to the other rangers. With further improvements we will have the training tools to fight in any scenario. DayZ standalone is out aswell and with its conception we have sent additional operators into chernarus plus to start preliminary recon of the map. Their main objectives are to locate high traffic areas, good loot locations and suitable base locations. This is a daunting task as the map is believed to be over 225 km sq, so it will take some time. We are still actively recruiting and those interested in special forces will have a chance to fight in the unit. Lastly we will be attaching ourselves to the 7th Cav early next year to conduct ARMA 3 operations with them, our previous training with the 23rd has been canceled due to their organisation showing signs of poor judgement towards our unit and will be discontinuing support permanently until further notice. pipelizard 1 Posted December 23, 2013 Will you be playing standalone?
major j. 7 Posted December 24, 2013 Thank you for your question Stand alone is looking to be the most complex environment our unit would operate in, we will be looking at conducting operations on stand alone in february at the earliest. This is because we need to run a new suite of first aid components as well as survival. We will still be preparing for action in stand alone through recon of public servers, however the bulk of our preparation for stand alone will be on our arma 3 servers where we have the mechanisms to aid us in pvp engagements and squad tactics. If you or anyone else has any further questions on our unit i'm available to to discuss them further either via our team speak or by personal messenger. major j. 7 Posted January 7, 2014 situation update We have made tremendous strides in the last week, members have been flowing in and operations have been successful. Our approach now is to establish both a promotion system and an award system that recognizes work, success and teamwork. Im proud to see how the unit has grown and the level of experience now within its ranks. So the plan for 2014? We will keep recruiting and training new operators as they come in and establish tighter bonds with the arma community. Eventually we will be moving into DayZ standalone however with this we must be prepared and i believe that we will be able to be prepared through continued use of arma 3 training servers. If you or anyone you know is interested in special forces please contact us at our enjin site located on the main page of this forum.
