Asking for Clarification - Helicopters

I've been lead to believe that helicopters have been universally disabled from spawning. If this is true, why was this decision made, and is there an expectation as to when we might see helicopters making a return to DayZ?

This is an inquiry - not a subtle complaint thread.

Yes they have and until serious issues with desync for pilots / passengers and the servers they are running on can be resolved.
