We started out on official hive, but don't let the name fool you as we have players that have been playing on our server from the start, our DayZ Vets! There is also a whole lot of new guys who find our server daily. The rule is not new, it has been in place for a long time but we try to be tolerant and don't jump on people every time they do it. We do post reminders when it becomes necessary. I suggestion that if I have misunderstood the 'private hive' section of the forums, that there be a new sub forum for advertising private hives I believe a few months back in an update log, Rocket stated how he was very happy that private hives were taking off and taking the strain off of the public hives servers. My question is how can private hives carry on running without advertising through the main dayZ mod forums? We run a large community with many regulars, yet (as you will know) many players who fill up servers are one time drop ins due to seeing advertising.
