Ping problem.

Recommended Posts

I recently bought ArmA 2 and I got around 50 fps in single player on Ultra Settings 1680x1050 but when I try to connect on a DayZ server I got 20-30 on Low Settings and big drop frames . I mean , I have 30 fps and suddenly 1-5 . I play DayZ with my friend who own a weaker PC and he's FPS is better than mine. I stay in loading screen and I wait 10 minutes to get in game.

I got a big ping ( 1000+ ping ) and I'm sure ping is the reason of low FPS . I got this problem only in DayZ.

Sorry for my bad english ...

1000 ms ping? Do you live in China and play on US servers? Anyhow, ping should be below 100 for a nice experience. Try finding a server located closer to you, or asking your ISP why your line sucks if it's not a matter of distance.

It's probably one of the following.

1) You are sharing your line/connection with others, could be family, could be neighbors using your wifi. Those others are using p2p downloaders, watching youtube HD videos etc.

2) You are downloading something in the background (p2p, win updates, program updates, etc).

3) You have a virus downloading/uploading stuff to some guy in some basement.

4) Your ISP has a temporary problem with their routing/connection to backbones, or it just jucks.

5) Your router has some kind of hardware problem or it's setup with wrong parameters (not very likely).

6) You are trying to play a quite demanding game in terms of data exchange between server-clients with a 33.6 kbps dialup modem :p

1) I have password at my network which is changing every week so I don't think this is th reason.

2) My Windows has been installed now 1 week and I don't downloaded things or installed something which needs updates/

3) How I said at '2' , my Windows has been installed now 1 week ....

4) I don't think this is the reason , how I said , i have this problem only in DayZ and my network speed is by 100 mb/s

5) I don't have a router....

6) Maybe this ... I'm not sure ...

Anyway ty ... I think the best solution is to buy a new PC =) ...

Thanks for your effort for helping me . I apreciate this :)
