Can someone help me with DayZ Despair?

I dont think so. There was no option to install it. Im not sure whats going on.

OK I got it.

 

It's very simple.  First you will need the folder you just downloaded.  Now follow these steps.

 

1. Go to your Start Menu

 

2. Click on "Computer" then your "C" drive,  Program Files (x86), Steam, Steamapps, common, Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead

 

3. Once in that folder, you will want to drag the, @DayZDespair, file into the Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead folder.  Make sure you DON'T put it in any other folder.  You also need to make sure that the @ symbol is infront of DayZDespair.

 

4.  Once you have done that, launch Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead.  Once in the menu, click on expansions.  You should see DayZDespair.  Enable it.  Arma will tell you it needs to restart.  After you've restarted it, you should now be able to play.

After I click on the Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead folder I drag it to the ArmA2OA folder with the Arma OA icon?

In that photo you can see my @DayZ and other mods.  Just drag the @DayZDespair folder into the Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead folder like you see in the photo.

Its not in with the expansions when I open up Arma2 OA.

 

The file is a compressed (zipped) file. Is this a problem?

Yeah, you need to unpack it so its just a normal folder like the others.

ha, sorry, right click on the zip file and you should see an option to extract, just select extract here and it will create a new folder called @dayzdespair

 

if you dont see the option to extract just use this program http://www.7-zip.org/

Ive got it in there and have it enabled in Arma 2 OA expansions. Now I just go to multiplayer and find the server?

In your arma 2 operation arrowhead folder theres a link called Launch Arma2 OA Beta Patch.

It said I do not have the keys to play this server. To play this server remove listed files or get keys to play server.

 

It had some files listed do I remove those files and if so how?

Sounds like you are just trying to launch with the wrong mod version.

 

See if theres another dayzdespair option in expansions when you launch arma. and make sure any other expansions are disabled. you just need arma 2 arma 2 OA and dayz despair enabled.
