Lady Kyrah 1110 Posted May 11, 2012 View distance also affect bandwidth and server performances, that's why most servers force it the same for everyone, so 5kilometer distance peoples don't have an advantage on those with older hardware.But i get the feeling it's probably to limit bandwidth usage on servers. daedrick 90 Posted May 12, 2012 How does drawing distance ahve anything at all to do with server performance. That doesnt make any sense. From what I know some lame ass admins are tired of getting sniped and lowered it to that point on some servers... needless to say I dont play on those. And sometimes you do have proper viewdistance on a clear day, and once the first clouds come in, view distance creeps back again and once again surrounded by this white haze.
