Debug Forest

ok so iv had 6 hrs game play on this game, yet iv had 0s of actual game playing time, every time i finely find a server that lets me join and play,,, i spawn in debug forest, i was walking around debug forest for about 2-3 hrs and it was all forest and hills and planes. can some one help me with this please.. ps i use Six Updater to update my game... but i cant join 1.7.1.5 servers and when ever i get on a 1.4 server it spawns me in debug forest...

please help... my brother plays this game fine he can join nearly any server and play it straight off, but with me, i cant play any (properly)

Have you updated the Arma 2 patch? Should be using 93965.

If you spawn in the debug forest. go to the tents. Turn directly around and keep going straight. You well eventually hit a town I believe its Komorova. That's how i got there and i just got lucky. When in doubt, pick a direction and just go straight.

There is a way to get out of the debug forest. You are actually not that far from the playable part of the map.

Problem is , you have to know which way East is.

The forest is situated Just West of Pavlovo and Kamenka.

If you run in an Easterly direction for about 5mins you will get back to civalization.

Some tips if you havn't got a compass -

The sun rises in the East and sets in the West.

The clouds move in an Easterly direction.

and yes i walked in one direction, looking at all my surroundings yet nothing had come up, i was walking for about 2-3 hrs

Yeah you wont get out unless you do it manually ie walk/run. Which i explained how to do here - http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=17833&pid=160808#pid160808

Once you spawn in a debug area when you exit server your position will be saved.

You asked how to install the beta .. that is how.

At least now you can join properly updated servers so the spawning in debug areas will be rare.

It was stated that the 1.7 series of patches NEEDS the beta of Arma2 to run correctly.

There is still many servers that are not updated properly.

Use Beta patch 93825 or above

Don't mean to sound like a dick but as has been stated many times - this is an Alpha , = bugs. Read more and learn. It will help avoid future problems :-/

Ah yeh thanks man... its just really frustrating coz iv had 5 and a half hours game play yet iv never had a proper game, ei debug forest, and just all downloads and testing and such

but i thinks its just my internet, i got shitty Bigpond Wireless USB bull crap, and i only get 2 out of 5 bars signal, but i am getting a signal booster soon, so that could fix all the errors im getting but to hard to tell, its just plain shit internet, my SP promised 5.4mb/s yet i have never even gone over 300kb/s but like i said this could be a problem with the signal, ill just have to wait untill i get the signal booster
