Server Help

AS the title says, just like to ask for a little help from some people with more exp than me.

 

With out going to much in depth, me and a few friends decided to rent our own EPOCH server with vilayer. All was good until 5 days ago. Now the server keeps going down and no one is able to join it. When i go to the ACP, it says it is running and i can stop/start it. However, if i try to DL the logs, it says the servers IP is not responding. Same if i try to view the stats and activity folder.

 

On game tracker it is claiming that the server is dead!

 

I would open a ticket, but we all chip in for the server ((5 of us) and only 1 pays and sadly he is unavailable at the moment. Is there something going on @Vilayer that im not aware of? DDOS for example as this is very strange.

 

Almost as strange as being told the server is in Germany, but game tracker shows it as being in france 0.o

Best to put in a support ticket at VI http://www.vilayer.com/cl/supporttickets.php and see what they can do from there.

i would do but like i said, the person that volunteered to be the one to handle the payments to Vilayer is MIA. I contacted them on Facebook and gave them the details they were asking for, but had no response since. The server did come back up at around 2345, but then went down again at 0030 with everyone online getting kicked for BE has stopped responding. Then the server just vanished again.

Your in a bind then as you have no control over when it will go back up without getting early notice from your ticket.  Have you checked  their site to see if there are any tweets or updates on server status in your area or specific nodes?

When i was talking to them on FB, they said the German node was fine and that there were no problems detected. I will try to PM Matt, as he has been on our server before ( not sure why though lol)

Sent the PM but he hasn't been online in a month so i'm not expecting a reply. They have seemed to decide to stop talking to me on facebook too.

Got this response from vilayer on FB

 

That node is getting non-stop hammered. There's really very little we can do at the moment. It's a large and very diverse attack. I've made an offer to the owner of the server in a ticket he has in. The options need to be discussed by the server owner via the support ticket system

 

 

 

Seems like their SEC Anti-DDOS thing is working fine!
