Disconnected to avoid death US 132 (Veteran)

At approx. 12:00 (Midnight) GMT-5, I was killed by a sniper. My 3 remaining friends engaged the sniper, shot him, and he disconnected to avoid death. My Username is the same as here - Muppet1856. We were not able to capture his name as he disconnected.

I don't have high hopes for the administration to get this done, but I am guessing the logs will show who killed me and bailed. The problem with a veteran server is you don't know their name.

This isn't about sour grapes. The guy was a lousy shot and I could have dumped, but we had him 4 to 1 and he stir kept blasting away. My satisfaction in dying was that my friends would likely get his sniper rifle.

I have died plenty of times in Days. Getting geared up is one of the most satisfying parts of the game. Scrounging until you get matches, a hatchet, and hunting knife makes this fun.

Watching a little girl bail because he feels he cannot be punished is frustrating and explicitly a bannable offense.

we are still in alpha... i know it sucks everytime someone writes this... so we have to live with soemthing like this. it sucks but we have to live with it till something is done about it. just move on... it happend to "all of us".

This is the forum to do something about it. Rocket has said, disconnecting to avoid death is an EXPLOIT. I just hope they are not hollow words. This game is about realism. Some of that is the fear that your shot will attract attention and could result in your death, so it had better be good. I love the realism.

For instance, my current incarnation has a cold. I will have to infiltrate a hospital to get meds. I love the idea that I have to do that. It makes this experience unique.

I wish there was a 30 second time out at a minimum with a 30 minute (+/-) cool down to rejoin. If people are going to make it a habit, then be punitive about it.

With no evidence, it did not happen. They cant ban people based on hearsay. Or there will be chaos of apocalyptic proportions.

I don't want to flame here, but if you're not an admin/moderator or in a position to actually make a decision, you're a troll - find a forum where "First" is acceptable.

IMO, a lack of action against people who disconnect is a endorsement of the behavior.
