The Continued Misadventures of a n00b and Some Questions

So finally I found not only: a Makarov PM, but also a double barrel shotgun! I know you older players are probably like "big whoop" but hey, for me just finding a single gun was an accomplishment.

I also got a few cans of beans and soda, so I feel like I now have a functioning survival loudout. I quit while I was ahead and went prone in the woods and disconnected.

So some quick q's now.

1. What do you recommend I do? I want to stay away from Cherno and Electro cause I have food and drink now and don't want to die. Balota sounds tempting but I've been there so many times and never found anything. Should I pick a road and head north looting on the way? What do most people do?

2. Can I change the appearance of my character by finding clothes? My character I spawned with is wearing a white shirt and it tends to stick out.

3. Is night (the non pitch-black variety) the best time to move around in?

4. How do I salute?

5. Is third person going to be removed? I just started using it but if it's going to be removed I feel like I shouldn't get used to it.

Since you have a loadout that will help you survive for awhile I say explore North and visit some deer huts. They tend to have high powered guns but beware they are also plagued with zombies.

You can change clothes but you have to find them. Some people have had problems with changing so beware.

I hate night. It's hard to see where zombies are. You need flares and glowsticks but that is like a beacon for bandits so beware.

3rd person is dependent on the server. They can choose to allow or not. I enjoy 3rd person so I tend to play on servers that allow it. When I want a challenge maybe I'll try it out.

Just try to have fun and learn on the way. If you die don't get caught up on it. You will die. Try different things. I try to use different weapons and different ways to get past zombies.

North. Find a online map and raid deer huts. Go to cities with markets for ammo and food. Join a low player count server and raid the military bases.

What Merk1b2 said above me, I'm fairly new myself. Just another thing which you probably know already, don't be afraid to die and start again. That's just my tip which I'm sure you've heard already. But it's true, I die a lot. And I die with assault rifles and stuff, of course I'm like "God dammit!" but then I just respawn and continue playing. So do the same I suggest, don't ragequti because you lose good gear. My only tip
