Settings problem

Hello, I've got a problem... Whenever I try to set my settings to low and then the resolution to 1080 and same with the 3d, the settings jumps back to high over and over... same if I try to change the visibility to match brightness. What can I do?

High visibilty = higher settings.

 

You don't expect to be able to see 10000 meters on low settings, do you? All you would see is brown hills.

Visibility in DayZ in vanilla servers is locked to 5,000 IIRC. Turning it up won't change anything.

Why not change the resolution first, then alter the settings?

It immediately changes it back... No idea why, didn't do that before
