Cannot Install Mods

Hello guys,

 

So I played Dayz on my roommate's PC the entire time, but now I've decided to install it on my laptop. I have the Arma 2 required versions already on Steam..

 

But why is it that whenever I try to install the mods it gives me the red mark rectangle error? I only have Dayz

Hmmm, ive gotten this before, Maybe there is something in the files or something you don't have which is causing this?.

1) From what i know there is a few things that can cause this, one is .net framework versions, this is an unlikely one but still feel free to check it off this list install this version: http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=30653

 

2) Apart from that, be sure that your running dayz commander in admin.

 

3) Make sure non of your anti virus are interacting with Commander, malware bytes caused me some issues.

 

4) There is another issue regarding DZC "Cache", but im not knowledgeable on it, but if those things dont work google DayZ Commander Cache fix.

 

 

EDIT: 5) aswel try deleting the mods that are causing issues directly from your ARMA2OA directory.

(C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead)

i had this problem when trying to update to 1.8 the other day, i just hit "reload versions" and tried again and it worked
im sure its not that simple for everyone, but worth a go

 

edit - also, i was trying to update epoch and 1.8 at the same time, and it happened, in your screenshot, you are already downloading epoch, so maybe wait til it finishes and then try dayzero
