AN-2, a flying tank!

Well, let me start with declaring the AN-2 the most epic of all dayz vehicles, and also probably one of the hardest ones to fly.

 

Anyways, I made an "interesting" encounter with the rather robust and well armed Mi-17. luckily i managed to out climb them with a half looping ending up at 1200 meters altitude. With the engine off they just didn't have a chance at spotting me.

 

But anyways, i was wondering: can you "ramm" a heli suficciently to put it down? If how would one do this?

ok, so no body has ever survived it right? I was hoping for the AN-2 to be like an ural....

You can absolutely can, but you'll probably blow yourself up in the process. Maybe someone else has had other experiences but in all of mine two choppers making contact in the air has meant both blow up.

 Yes, two choppers, certainly. But have you ever shot at an AN-2? My plane got hit with three 7.62 magazines and 15 seconds of pkp fire. Not a scratch! Do that with a chopper...

Yeah unfortunately they will both blow up, why didnt you try this on the server wep? would love'd to have watched xD

Oops sorry. Still the same result though. If it's got a rotor, don't go near it in the air.

:( OK, so if hit with sufficient speed, they 'll both blow up. If you are too slow though (<130) the plane will stall and crash, leaving the chopper operational...  darnit!
