Something easy because most of it is developed (SA)

Although i understand it's kind of stupid to say "easy" because it requires work I'm pretty sure this hasn't been mentioned. Would be great for Standalone!

 

If possible there should be a car made that is special and unique in use and could add an interesting aspect to game-play online.

 

This car would have 2 seats, and have the ability to be filled with zombies. (At least 10++)

 

How would we grab the zombies safely?

^^^ Above ^^^ is a good example of a stick with a grasping hook at the end, this would work great online, heck maybe even grasp other players and have it as a way to control the situation w/o killing on sight? (With the obvious possibility for player's to be able to get out of it somehow/after sometime) 

 

This would be simple because cars are already in game and it would involve developing a new bigger 2 seated car, with the possibility to insert 10++ zombies, and a new item or two to grasp zombies (chains can work as well)

 

 

This could work in PvP - or even if (ever) implemented, a good way to invade/attack a enemy player base in base-building (if that even comes out). 

 

Overall this isn't just for base-building. It would be fun to do attacks on players/clans in this way as a surprise attack. It gives us players one more fun thing to play around with online. 

 

I personally see this as being a good idea, not something as a main priority but something we may see down along the road in the future, would be really really fun!

 

(Let's not forget it wouldn't require much development as like 75-80% of it is already done)

 

 

What do you the community think about this?

 

(BTW - To anyone who's played other ARMA mods, you know that this engine is great for dragging, and even placing down or even inserting a person into a car, so this would work great!)

DayZ infected aren't weak and slow like TWD zombies. I don't really see this being possible, lol.

Umm... where? Did i miss the part where the DayZ team implemented a way to synchronise two entities together?

 

Also what is it with people who cannot summarize their idea in the topic title, you know, to make it easier to decide if it's worth reading or not?

DayZ infected aren't weak and slow like TWD zombies. I don't really see this being possible, lol.

 

In the last developer blog Rocket mentioned they scrapped Zombie AI/Skeletons again. I also personally think that it being a "fast zombie" would NOT be a deterrent on development because you can also have some slow Zombies.

 

We'll have to wait and see the new skeletons/speed, w/e.

Above is a pretty random statement on my behalf when it comes to the % randomly throwing out a %, but I'll try and clear up what I meant. 

 

The game engine is already has cars, it's already a huge step forward on the job being done. All that would be left is the development of a new car model (like the one i suggested); and the animations that go along with it. 

 

That's more almost done .... ^^ -- | Another thing that would need to be developed is (1) or (2) items, The picture above shows one of them, (A metal stick with a grasping hook), and (not needed) but also will work/help is chains.

You didn't miss nothing because nothing was done about this, nor did I ever say it was.
 
What I did say is that if you played any other ARMA 2 MODS, like Wasteland, City Life, Takastani, etc - You would see how the engine already can handle dragging players, and even placing them into cars (this is even on some Day Z Servers, they are addons/plugins, not sure) by simply hovering near a player, scrolling you're middle mouse (waiting for the options menu on the left side to pop up), scroll down to grasp/hook on you're option menu to grasp a player or a zombie. Walk towards car, place inside (just like placing a patient/player in ARMA) 
 
I understand that the animations for these actions would require development, but again something the engine handles quiet marvelously I must say...
 
These actions work on multiple servers from Arma 2, Wasteland, Dayz, City Life, etc. But unfortunately yes there are some synchronizing issues and animations issues, but then again this is all on a mod... (everything i described that is already implemented)

Who exactly are you asking?
I could try and answer that since you can't think of something, Some people like my self don't spend much time on forums and aren't to "forum savvy", I don't know the taboo's or anything like that. (It's not bad to spend time on forums, Just Saiyan.....)
 
I didn't mean to offend nor waste you're time. I'm sorry you didn't feel this was worth a read.
 
I'll definitely be taking what you said into consideration next time. I'll definitely a summary of my topic in my topic title so it's done correctly.  
 
I would humbly recommend you drop that snarky attitude as it may scare off some new comers who may be afraid to post because of people nick picking like you just did.

The skeleton has no bearing on their speed, they will still be raging 28 Days Later style infected.

 

I think they might be ever so slightly slower than they currently are in the mod as they'll be running in doors and not zig-zagging, so that needs to be compensated for, but they'll most likely still be fast, strong and very angry. xD

I don't think anyone would argue the fact that for most of this to be developed would require some animations and some new item(s)/car. Nothing ground breaking as having to develop something crazy in the engine. 

 

Speed means nothing IMO. (I'm pretty sure the new animations/skeletons are going to bring maybe at least 1 more zombie type, a slow one?)

 

Why wouldn't you want to be in Cherno having this fire fight and then all the sudden u hear a Ural/Big car like engine incoming (a special sound for it's engine would be good as well as we could educate if it's on its way), then a hatch comes down and boom 10++ Zombies!!! Oh no start shooting !!!!

 

If some modders worked hard enough something like this can be taken out even on the mod... w/o any animations like most of the unique cool things you can do on modded servers.

 

Awesome. IMO
