Admin Abuse - UK352 - Public Hive

Hi,

 

First post on here but long time browser. I just wanted to report some admin abuse on the public hive. I've played on UK352 and UK410 for many months now, possibly even years, and have never been accused of hacking before in my life, yet this played out last night; (The admin's name is Hayward).

 

Join the server with my pre patch kit (including a DMR with about 7 clips - this is important). After playing for about an hour and a half I head to Berezino, by this point I haven't seen anyone on the server so I was a bit bored. See two people running across a hill about 400m away, killed them both with one shot from my DMR each.

 

On my way to the industrial area by the coast, I see two more people running up the road towards me. One shot both of those and it's the same two people. One of them (Hayward) starts mouthing off in the chat about who shot him, to which after a few minutes I just politely ask, 'Can you spawn at Berezino now then?'. He then proceeds to accuse me of killing him and his friend, which I deny and say I'm not even in the area. He then comes back and checks the logs (despite having no reason to at this point - he was just spawn killed) and tells me that I killed him, and that I was using 'suspicious ammo'. Without letting me say anything he perm bans me and tells me to check the logs and dispute it on their FB group, probably thinking I would leave it there.

 

So after much searching, I find their group, which is invite only conveniently. I join the group and ask why I was banned and to see some evidence. Hayward tells me then that I was banned for 'Teleporting' because 'two people saw it' (he is referring to him and his friend I killed). He tells me there is no record of it in the log but that doesn't matter. I enquire as to how they could possibly 

 

A ) Have seen me teleport when I shot them both one after in the other in the space of a second from 300m+ away?

B ) Even if they have seen someone teleport, and it wasn't in the logs, how they could possibly tell it was me (I never at any point confessed to shooting them)?

 

He doesn't respond to either of these points, or post a screenshot of the logs like he said when he banned me, instead he deletes my posts and bans me from their facebook group. I emailed the owner of the server to report this and ask for proof - no response. I checked this morning and I'm still banned.

 

Is there something you can do about this? It's a public hive and blatant admin abuse.

 

TLDR: Admin gets butthurt I killed him and his friend twice in a row as new spawns, bans me.

To further reply to this, and only confirming his guilt, he has personally blocked on Facebook too (despite never trying to contact him personally until now - I wanted to link him to this thread as a chance to post the proof he promised in an environment where he can't just ban me).

Hayward suspected that you where hacking after their had been two reports of a hacker on the server and one report directly mentioned your name and as with any accusations they have to be taken seriously and investigated (Even more so with the latest update to 1.8)

 

Hayward then banned you and asked me to review the conversations and event logs that had been recorded via Gotcha antihax (Which sometimes gives false positives) I agreed with Hayward that you should have been banned as I believed that the evidence presented to me (not just word of mouth) was sufficient that I my self would have banned you.

 

Secondly even IF it happened the way you said it went down the language and the aggressive manner in which you spoke not only to an admin (which at the time only questioned you) and towards other players was unacceptable. 

 

Unless otherwise directed by the server owner the ban will stand as the behavior you have used towards players and admins is unacceptable.

Congratulations on a very vague and uninformative post.

 

Are you going to share this evidence? Elaborate on my hacking? Discuss these 'reports' of hackers and the server and compare it to the fact that I had been on there for an hour, for the first time in weeks, and no one had mentioned anything in the game chat?

 

Or is this all too much to ask? Blatant admin abuse, horrible server. Tip to everyone on here, don't kill the admins if you play on UK352!

Also well done for opening up the 'IF' comment, basically saying you have no idea what happened but are backing up your friend because he is your friend. 

 

You can't ban me for arguing with an ignorant and butthurt admin who abused his powers. But well done for confessing that you would consider this as a reason to ban people.

I have no intention of playing on their server anymore, but as you can see from Piglets response, their method of admining their server is incompatible with the rules of public hives. Maybe ask them to prove I had hacked and their admin wasn't just pissed off and angry at me? Maybe?!

Sorry they can only moderate this Forum, We get a lot of complaints about Admins and Servers here. But we all have to be wary as some of these accusations have been out of malice with intent on giving Server,Person a bad name. Not stating that here but just saying there is always two sides to a story.

 

I personally don't have an issue with people being banned because of Abuse to Admins or anyone for that matter

I am going to say that you might a need bit more proof. I know that not everyone has their recording equipment out at all times but a screenshot or a picture of these conversations would help in your fight against this server's admins. Otherwise this might be taken as "story telling" or "lack of evidence".

There is nothing we can do at this time in regards to server complaints on the public hive.  Your best option if you and others feel you are being wrongfully banned or abused is to post threads so others do not go to the server and have the same issues.
